There’s a Fine
Line Between
AUTISM
— and —
ASSHOLE
The Autism Advantage: Unlocking the Potential of Adults on the Spectrum in the Workplace & at Home
“From innovation to change management, a world without autism would be chaos. “
Shattering the stereotypes of autism, Felicia and Nancy share practical strategies through engaging real-life stories on how to work with autistic individuals. From comical faux pas to discrimination, this book shares the fine line between someone who is autistic and someone who is just an asshole. Autistic individuals will enjoy learning how to reduce coming across wrong with clear steps. While neurotypicals (everyone else) will learn how to better understand and be supportive of neurodiverse individuals. Businesses who employ autistic individuals will learn how to create a symbiotic relationship that benefits everyone by leveraging the unique abilities that come with autism. Valuing their inherent ability to defy the norm (because we have no idea what “normal” is – believe me, we’ve tried), a general dislike for change, and a desire for routine, the benefits are ends.
